What makes a good US employer?
The annual employee survey by the business magazine Forbes includes a survey of 60,000 employees in American companies with at least 1,000 employees.
The surveyed organizational participants gave feedback on their workplace in terms of working conditions, career development opportunities, diversity, equal treatment, and salaries. They could also recommend other companies as employers.
These are the best employers in the USA in 2022
Forbes' Best US Employers 2022 lists 500 large companies with more than 5,000 employees and 500 mid-sized companies with more than 1,000 employees that received the most recommendations among all respondents.

Interestingly, five out of ten top major employers in the USA are from the healthcare sector. This is not only because medicine is one of the strongest employment sectors in the United States, along with education and the service industry.
Above all, the healthcare sector in the US is well-paid. In addition to the top salaries of physicians and anesthesiologists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, optometrists, physician assistants, midwives, and nursing managers also earn six-figure salaries.

That the ratings of foodservice employers have deteriorated under the weight of the pandemic with its surges of layoffs, making them unlikely to appear on Forbes' 2022 lists, is no surprise.
