Biometrics refers to the measurement of a physical characteristic to help the US authorities verify the identity of a nonimmigrant visa applicant or Green Card holder. Green Card applicants will be required to give their biometrics at the US border when entering the USA for the first time. This includes the officer taking fingerprints and a digital photo.
